Overview

Embark on an epic 7-day Ladakh adventure through the roof of the world. Acclimatise in Leh, cross some of the highest motorable passes, camp beside the surreal blue Pangong Lake, ride camels on the Nubra cold-desert dunes and soak in centuries-old monastery culture.

Day-wise Itinerary

D1

Arrive in Leh

Arrive and rest for acclimatization. Evening you can visit local market by your own.

D2

Leh Local Sightseeing

Drive along the Leh-Srinagar Highway to visit the legendary Hall of Fame war museum. Afternoon Experience the optical illusion at Magnetic Hill, pay respects at Gurudwara Pathar Sahib, and see the Sangam Point where the Indus and Zanskar rivers merge. Evening Return to your hotel in Leh for dinner and rest.

Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La

Morning Depart early to cross Khardung La Pass, one of the highest motorable passes in the world. Afternoon: Drop down into Nubra Valley. Visit the historic Diskit Monastery to see the 100ft tall Maitreya Buddha statue. Explore the sand dunes of Hunder. Ride a unique double-humped Bactrian camel. Stay overnight in Nubra.

Excursion to Turtuk Village

Morning Drive through stark scenery to Turtuk, a scenic village claimed from Pakistan in the 1971 war. Afternoon Walk through local apricot orchards and experience the distinct Balti culture. You can catch glimpses of the Line of Control (LoC) nearby. Evening Drive back to Nubra for a second night's stay.

Nubra Valley to Pangong Tso via Shyok River Route

Morning Take the direct, adventurous road along the Shyok River toward Pangong Lake. Arrive at the breathtaking, deep-blue Pangong Tso (4,250m). This high-altitude saltwater lake spans across the Indo-China border. Stay in a lakeside camp or homestay.

Pangong Tso back to Leh via Chang La

Morning Catch the sunrise over the lake. Begin your return journey to Leh via Chang La Pass. En-route visit "Rancho School" from the movie 3 Idiots. Overnight stay in Leh.

D7

Departure from Leh

Pack your bags, check out from the hotel, and transfer back to the airport. Fly home with a camera full of mountain views.
